It’s a bittersweet moment. While I’m a little sad that my second year at HxGN LIVE has come to a close, I am also proud of all of my colleagues for providing our partners and customers with such a great conference this year.
Geospatial Track attendees started their HxGN LIVE experience bright and early on Tuesday, with training sessions that let them develop new skills and strengthen existing ones. They followed up their trainings with Hexagon President & CEO Ola Rollén’s keynote, “Your Date Can Save the World,” where they learned how technology can make our business processes run more smoothly, while also increasing sustainability for the planet.
Attendees followed this up with the unveiling of The Zone, where they had a chance to see not only what is possible with our geospatial and location intelligence solutions, but also how Hexagon’s diverse technologies come together to form a comprehensive portfolio of smart solutions.
On Wednesday, attendees also had a chance to attend breakout sessions, where they heard about the innovative ways our customers and partners are using Hexagon solutions for problem-solving. Those sessions were a precursor to the cornerstone Geospatial Track event, which was Geospatial division Mladen Stojic’s keynote, titled, “The Power of Connections.”
During his keynote, Mladen discussed the importance of integrating the geospatial and operational worlds to improve the lives of citizens, increase national security, and lay the foundation for an autonomous future. If you missed it, catch the recording on Hexagon’s content hub, HxGN SPOTLIGHT!
The keynote was followed by an equally exciting Live in Concert Track Party. While there, geospatial industry peers joined together for good food, live music, dancing, and plenty of drinks to go around.
Thursday brought more breakout sessions and trainings, plus a continuation of the camaraderie between fellow track attendees, but also between people of differing tracks as well. This continued with an evening event for all attendees at the award-winning “Asian City,” TAO Nightclub. My favorite part of the event was seeing so many people from the global Hexagon family gathered together in one room.
Then came Friday, where Geospatial Track attendees had one last day to attend any breakout sessions on their list. They also had a few more hours in The Zone, meeting with solution experts, watching demos, and interacting with some of the latest technologies, all in one place.
Although I have enjoyed this time at HxGN LIVE 2019, it’s only fitting that the conference should end on such a high note. Thank you to everyone who traveled to Las Vegas for such an action-packed week, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
