Thursday brought the third day of HxGN LIVE, and with it, the delivery of even more rewarding conference experiences.
These experiences included keynotes from PPM and Safety and Infrastructure. Hexagon PPM’s first keynote shed light on how to change the game with web-based project collaboration – especially in a time where owner operators and EPCs are under increasing pressure to deliver CAPEX and OPEX projects to specification, on schedule and within budget. The second PPM keynote focused on how new communications applications and evolving technologies can be mobilised to manage and complete projects in the new era. With the new Intergraph Smart Digital Asset Collaboration Module and the addition of technologies such as drones and laser scanning, Hexagon hopes to create what it calls Construction 4.0, a future in which large-scale industrial projects can be further simplified. Safety & Infrastructure’s keynote ‘Convergence in the Cloud’ gave attendees an interesting presentation on how to be prepared for any type of event and ultimately make their communities safer.
Throughout the day, the breakout sessions used real-life case studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of Hexagon’s intelligent solutions in improving workflow efficiency while cutting costs. Private meetings also were available for attendees to meet and talk with one another during HxGN LIVE. Day three fully equipped attendees with the proper knowledge to take hold of the future and also included an exciting announcement from Hexagon spreading the word about the new Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 laser scanning software for simpler, automated registration, and its Cyclone Cloud Services platform for secure global collaboration through an on-demand software-as-a-service model.
And finally, we closed out day three with ‘Ultra Red,’ a private networking event that took place at the TAO Nightclub, one of the hottest clubs in Vegas, where attendees received the full VIP treatment. It was a lively and festive night that served as a perfect bookend.
It’s been such an amazing conference. It’s hard to believe that so much can be packed into such a short amount of time. We only have one day left, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
