Wow – this is my first HxGN LIVE experience, and so far I’ve been thoroughly impressed by what I’ve learned and seen from the attendees. I spent a good portion of Tuesday, June 13 immersed in all things Intergraph G/Technology and Intergraph InService by participating in the GSIG and I2CO User Group meetings. The goals for these user groups are to facilitate the sharing of current practices and future ideas for the use of their technology to accomplish common business goals, provide access to a qualified peer network to collaboratively solve common business problems and help give direction to the Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure’s Product Development Team.
As the two user groups meetings progressed throughout the day, they discussed a variety of topics, sometimes as one big group, but also in smaller sub-breakout groups, to ensure all the important topics, functionalities and challenges were explored. It was really encouraging to watch everyone brainstorming, sharing and innovating within their user groups and also sharing their ideas and findings with the Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure team.
The foundation of your business are your assets in the field,” said David Kenney, Professional Services manager for Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure in Canada. The topic of integrating data into your G/Technology solution was one of the more dynamic breakout discussions during the GSIG meeting. “G/Technology is currently the solution being used to model those real-world assets, making it a foundation for integration with other systems throughout your organization.”
As for myself, I’m really looking forward to learning and participating even more over these next few days!
